In Morocco, marriage happens before the celebration. It's a small ceremony called the Drib Sdak, wherein the groom and bride will sign traditional wedding vows. According to Moroccan marriage customs, wedding vows should be conducted before the day of the wedding day.

Drib Sdak is when both the groom and the bride sign papers that state they are married. After signing these papers, they celebrate their marriage with a big party that usually lasts seven days.

The bride and groom's families used to have parties in their own homes before the day where the bride would be brought to the groom's house. The food

Moroccan wedding traditions are very different from what we are used to in the Western world. For starters, the guests are welcomed with dates and almond milk. During the day, celebratory sweets, stuffed dates, and tea are distributed to the guests. Dinner is usually a large affair, with all the family and friends gathered together to share a meal.

After dinner, all the men gather together to recite the Quran and celebrate this special moment. Families of all social levels adhere to the same traditions when it comes to weddings. At the ceremony, serving food is important and the guests are served Moroccan mint tea, cakes of all kinds, and traditional foods. Some believe that this tradition represents fertility and marital bliss. The evening is concluded with a large dinner of traditional foods, and everyone goes home happy and full.
